Physical Fears

Many people find it hard to relax in the dental chair if they aren't yet feeling confident they will be physically comfortable during treatment.

Fear of needles

“It’s the needle I just can’t deal with."

Not being numb enough

“What if I can still feel everything even after the anaesthetic?”

Fear of the drill

“That sound instantly makes me tense."

Fear of fainting

"What if I lose control and faint?"

Feeling pain during treatment

“I just want to know it won't hurt.”

Bad reaction to local anaesthetic

“What if the anaesthetic causes me harm?”

Gagging or choking

“I can barely brush my teeth, let alone let you clean them!”
